It's the second week for school.. Apparently, my schedule made me seemed like a full time Denise's staff than a FT student. Like usual, I got to fulfil the 1.5 day requirement per week, on top of that Lawrence - my District Manager asked me to help out at the Wine Tasting booth @ Vivo..
Wine available for tasting: Kaesler-Tourical Nacional (sweet and smooth port - a fav of many) NashWalk-Syrah2006 (the first vineyard of Kaesler outside Barossa valley with the unique Kaesler style) Promesse De Soleil - (a cheaper version of Chateau Soleil; Quality comes with a price) Chateau Maris 2006 - Old Vine Syrah (my fav of the 4 - like usual french wine involves a little aeration) The Kadeka wine cooler (Japan) came in for the wine tasting in the afternoon of Thursday.
According to Ronald-Kadeka marketing executive, storing your wines at their serving temperature is slow cooking.. It's quite an arguement actually. Farfalla is always on discounts? haha.. I have my reserves though.. Saw BP @ Vivo. Sales were slow for thursday..
Friday, I went to SMU for a Blading Clinic met Alison.. It's just an SMU thing to call every event clinc.. lol.. Dinner @ Azubu Sabo - Marina Sq nice Bento, Tuna Omelette and Impt: Macha Zen!
Sat, I had a tuition in parc oasis just a few steps from me.. Went down to Chinatown to queue for Lim Chee Guan BBQ Pork in the afternoon as they will be out of stock in the evening.. haha.. A "must have" item for Chinese New Year.. Back to the wine tasting booth at Vivo. It's more lively at the booth.. Met a cute french guy.. Il s'appelle Chibus.. He is the Ambassador of Villa M in Asia.. Travelling around and attending parties are part of his job.. *Envious* He opened up a Villa M - Moscato ( the all time fav) and a bottle Villa M-Rosso (taste like sparkling ribena) only 5% vol of alcohol just like Beer.
Two Japanese tourists came over to the counter for wine tasting but they couldn't speak English.. This is when I need BP to be around for translations.. lol.. Bought 2 bottles straight after tasting.. They were kind of lost in Vivo trying to get back to Habourfront for boarding on "Mona Lisa" their ship.. I walked them to Habourfront Centre. They were very grateful and tipped me. $10.. Japanese tourists are well known for their generousity. Tipping is a very good culture. Singaporeans should start cultivating..
